The study of English includes the four cornerstones of reading, writing, speaking, and listening—the basic fundamental skills necessary for expression, interpretation, and communication. To function with self-confidence in today’s world, students will be expected and encouraged to use these essential skills to the very best of their abilities.
The English Language Arts Department, therefore, has developed a varied curriculum to help develop these necessary skills. To graduate from Arrowhead High School, students must pass eight (8) credits of English including both semesters of English 9 and English 10. These requirements can also be met through English 9 Honors, and English 10 Honors.
