Resource Scheduling - Flex

FLEX attendance is positive attendance, so everyone is marked present until that is changed by the teacher or supervisor. When students are scanning in or checking in with a QR code, there will be a timestamp next to their name. The teacher will have to then mark students who do not have timestamp absent. 

Teachers will then need to submit the attendance by clicking the check mark near the top of the attendance.

We would like attendance completed by the end of the Resource period. Flex will send email attendance reminders the day of the Resource at 7:50 AM and  8:30 AM and 6:45 AM the next day.

Most likely the student was already scheduled for an activity with a higher priority than yours. When you try to add a student you should get an error message indicating this.

In the Flex program, teachers and staff can go to STUDENTS in the left navigation, and then STUDENT SEARCH. Here you will see all student results for a day, but you can search for an individual student in the space near the top of the page next to ALL FLEX PERIODS (we only have one Flex period, so you do not need to change the drop down). NOTE: Parents do not have access to the FLEX program.

The QR code has a 5 minutes before the flex period and 1 minute before the flex period ends. Our start time is 7 AM and our end time is 8 AM. Barcode scanning does not have a time limit.

We have students who are not in the building during Resource period for various reasons. Some students are early enrollee students, some are taking courses at other locations, and some students have FSO. Students only have FSO every other day, but Flex cannot differentiate the R and B days, so these students are excluded from attendance both days.

You may request a student who has FSO for your Resource activity. FSO students are required to attend.

In order to mark an FSO student absent or late you would need to email the attendance office with that information northattendance@arrowheadschools.org.

If your resource activity is something a sub can do and you will have a sub, keep your activity. The main office staff will print out attendance for the sub for your resource period. 

If your activity is something a sub cannot do, you can delete it, but you must do so BEFORE midnight for the kids to be redistributed to other rooms. If it is after midnight and you are unable to delete, the sub can run a study hall in your room. Students also can ask to be plus added by another teacher if they wish.
