Hey Everyone AHS Has SASS
SASS, Students Assisting Student Success, is a student led math tutoring program created through the joint efforts of the Math Department, the Arrowhead Counseling Staff and National Honor Society.
Who Are We?
An organized group of student leaders working to help our peers increase or improve their math skills. Through the use of effective tutoring methods we will support peers as we collaborate with them to expand their content knowledge, set attainable goals and achieve success in their math course.
Where Can We Be Found And When?
South Campus Library : Tuesday and Thursday: 1st through 10th hour
North Campus Library : Tuesday and Thursday: 1st through 10th hour
Who Can Use SASS and How?
- Any math student.
- Bring your notes, homework assignment or questions that you have on math content.
- Sign out of study hall and sign in at the tutoring area located in the library.
- SASS tutors will work with a maximum of 2 students at a time.
- Follow all Library rules when attending tutoring.
- Be Appropriate, Respectful and Responsible when working with the tutors or waiting to be tutored - No Cell Phones Allowed
- This tutoring time should be used to clarify concepts, work on skills and ask questions about problems you have worked on prior to coming to the tutoring area. Monitor your tutoring time if other students are waiting to get help. If you feel you need additional help, please contact your teacher to arrange an individual meeting or fill out the National Honor Society Tutoring Request Form that can be found online.
