It’s a 54-year-old record. Back in 1965, Brian Pascoe long jumped 22’7” for Arrowhead High School, setting a school record that still stands today.
Brian was a member and Captain of the first State Championship Track Team for AHS (1965). Along with the long jump, he also competed at the State meet in the 180-yard hurdles and 120-yard hurdles. That year, he was crowned the Conference and Sectional Champion in the 180-yard hurdles, and was second in the long jump and third in high hurdles. As a multi-talented track star and a three-year letter winner, Brian also participated in the 440- and 880-yard relays.
Brian continued his track career at UW-Whitewater where he held the long jump school record (22’ 11”) for two years and competed at the Division 3 National Track Championships in long jump. He also participated in high and intermediate hurdles and javelin.
After college, Brian began a successful career in sales, retiring in 2016 from Burton & Mayer. In 1978, Brian was named the Delafield Chamber of Commerce Man of the Year. He was also a Who’s Who inductee in 1980/81, and was elected Alderman 1st Ward City of Delafield. Today, Brian lives in Delafield and enjoys building furniture, cooking and gardening.
