As a 1989 student and graduate at Arrowhead High School, Craig played basketball where he was a 3-year Varsity letter winner and earned 1st team All-Conference and Honorable Mention All-Conference, All County and All Area recognition. He went on to earn a Varsity letter in basketball at Ripon College and then 2 Varsity letters at Lawrence University, where he earned Honorable Mention All-Conference and set Lawrence’s record for assists.
Craig has been a Social Studies teacher at Arrowhead for 30 years and upon starting his teaching career at Arrowhead he also began his career as a basketball coach. Craig has coached basketball at Arrowhead for the last 31 years. For the last 24 years he has served as our Varsity Boys’ Head Basketball Coach. Over those 31 years, Coach Haase’s teams have never had a losing record. Coach Haase’s Varsity record is 433-163 with a 73% winning percentage. He has led his teams to 9 Classic 8 Conference Championships, the most in Classic 8 history, and a conference record of 274-78 for a 78% winning percentage, 14 WIAA Regional Championships, 5 WIAA Sectional Championships, 3 WIAA State Runner-up finishes, and 1 State Championship.

Craig became a mentor and role model as a husband, father, teacher and coach. He worked to make excellence his standard while maintaining humility and respect for others. For over 3 decades, Craig Haase has worked tirelessly to serve thousands of students and athletes. None of this would have been possible without the love and support from his wife Gina, his children Jay and Ava and his parents Bronson and Jackie.
