Arrowhead's Boys and Girls Alpine Race Teams compete against other Wisconsin high schools in races held in January & February. Races are held at local ski resorts including Alpine Valley, Holy Hill, Little Switzerland, Crystal Ridge and Sunburst. Races are held on Wednesday and Thursday; start time is 6:00 pm. Each race consists of two timed runs of either Slalom or Giant Slalom.
Experienced coaching is provided and includes ski racing skills, race instruction, gate training, and skill specific instruction.
Practice is held at Holy Hill on Monday or on Sunday. Alpine ski racing is a no-cut sport.
Athlete / Parent Meeting is Wednesday, November 13, 2024, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm in the North Campus Junior Study Hall
Arrowhead Alpine Skiing has two team options: a competitive Conference Race Team and a non-competitive Development Team. An organizational meeting for parents and athletes will be held in November to assist families with the registration process. The Registration Form for both teams will go live after the meeting on dedicated team Stack Team App pages. At the meeting, they will review team options, schedules, responsibilities, expectations of the program and address any questions or concerns. Questions should be dierected to Coach Reineking.
The Alpine Ski Racing Team operates under our school mantra.
We expect our athletes and parents to demonstrate the Arrowhead Way.
The Arrowhead Way
Be Appropriate
Be Respectful
Be Responsible
